This site chronicles the life and works of C. Carey Cloud, artist, inventor, and famous Cracker Jack prize designer. Carey Cloud brought joy to millions of children, and to the millions of children at heart. The prolific Cracker Jack prize designer, C. Carey Cloud, developed hundreds of prizes for Cracker Jack from the 1930s through the 1960s. Known as "year-round Santa Claus", it is estimated that he created, produced, and delivered to the Cracker Jack Company over 700 million toys. Add to this record the toys and premiums he designed for other companies, the total would climb to one billion. This website will always be changing and growing, as there is so much to be documented, and discovered. To keep me on track I've made a to-do list of sorts which I call Chasing Cloud Nine.
